Your Role as an Apprentice Chef
As part of our kitchen team, you will:

Prepare, cook, and present dishes that meet both specification and guest expectations.

Maintain excellent hygiene standards and adhere to all food safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely, high-quality service.

Stay informed about menu updates, new promotions, and seasonal offerings.
Your Apprenticeship Includes
-
Regular one-to-one sessions every 4–6 weeks via face-to-face meetings or online check-ins to review your progress.

A blend of on-the-job learning and structured training, including workshops and webinars.

Performance reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and Apprenticeship Trainer.

The chance to achieve Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths if required.

A nationally recognised Chef Apprenticeship Qualification upon completion of the 15-month programme.
In addition, you’ll become part of our Chef Academy, participating in four exclusive masterclasses covering advanced cooking techniques and specialist areas of the kitchen.
At Greene King, you’ll be working toward a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship Qualification over a 15-month period — a solid foundation for an exciting culinary career.
